Designed for Complete Environmental Control
CBC's isolator offers several features designed to provide complete control of air output. The blower units' air prefilter delivers clean air to the isolator's sterile inlet filters, thus reducing the frequency for replacing inlet filters. The air output control is easily adjusted to accommodate from 1 to 25 double 2' x 2' x 5' isolator units. The blower assembly air flow may be set to any desired flow ranging from 7 to 15 air changes per hour as desired.
CBC's Isolator Backs You Up
Power and mechanical failures are serious problems for gnotobiotic researchers. To have an isolator go down during a project can ruin months of work. There is no worry about power and mechanical failures with Class Biologically Clean's Germ Free Isolator. CBC features an independent back-up blower system with the same capacity as the primary blower system. The back-up blower system is designed to be wired to a different circuit with standby capabilities. Then with a mechanical or power failure in the primary system the switch over from primary to standby is automatic and without loss of air flow to the isolators. A warning light on the control unit alerts users when the back-up system is in use.
CBC's Isolator Need Not Stand Alone
The unique design of CBC's Germ Free Isolator allows additional slave
isolators to be added to the master unit. All system isolators share
the master unit's control center and blower assembly, which features
a prefilter and adjustable air output. Air flow is distributed
throughout the system via stainless steel manifolds, which are an integral
part of both the master and slave units. The manifolds are connected
by flexible ducts. Air is tapped from the manifolds with rigid PVC pipe
to each isolator's inlet filter. The 2" filter inlet port along with
the filter's 5" diameter and fitted filter cover provides a high volume
of air at low velocity to the isolators. This design enables up to
24 slave units to operate from a single master isolator air system --
at a substantial cost savings over traditional isolator designs.
Standard and Custom Sizes
Isolator sizes that are available as single shelf units include: 2' x 2' x 5', 2.5' x 3' x 6', 2.75' x 3.5' x 7', 3.2' x 5.5' x 8', and other custom sizes. Different size isolator units can be connected to a single master unit.
