CBC - History
Class Biologically Clean, Ltd. (CBC) is the leading provider of flexible film isolators, semi-rigid isolators, flexible film clean rooms,
flexible film bio-containment chambers and decontamination chambers for use with immunocompromised animals, specific pathogen free animal
research and husbandry, infectious diseases studies and pharmaceutical industry.
CBC was established in 1978, by Dr. Roger Fortney in Madison, Wisconsin, to provide flexible isolators and flexible film clean rooms to
animal producers such as Taconic Farms, Inc., Simenson Laboratories, Inc. and Harlan Inc.
In 1998, David and Karen Holland purchased CBC and have continually improved and updated the product line while also expanding into new markets.
Over the years, CBC has supplied flexible film isolators and cleanrooms to some of the world's top universities and research institutions such as,
the University of North Carolina, the University of Chicago and St Jude Children's Research Hospital; and pharmaceutical companies such as,
Boehringer Ingeleheim Vetmedica Inc, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. and Lyophilization Technology, Inc.
CBC emphasis is on creating high quality functional isolator and clean room systems. CBC always listens to its customers and provides
systems that meet each customer's requirements.
